New Delhi: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has sought a Action Taken Report (ATR) on the complaint that the lecturers, teachers and employees working in government aided colleges in Odisha were denied pension.
The secretary Human Rights Watch, Sangita Swain, has filed a petition in the NHRC stating that 1500 lecturers, teachers and employees after taking retirement from the higher education department of the Odisha government are not getting pensionary benefits for which they are in starvation. Swain has prayed to take criminal action against the liable public authority and provide the victims their pension at your earliest.
Taking cognisance of the petition (NHRC Case No. 1342/18/28/2019 has directed the higher education department secretary to file an ATR within 8 weeks.
