Bhubaneswar: Odisha has been adjudged as the best state in the country so far as maintenance of records of government employees covered under National Pension Scheme(NPS) Fund.
The state finance principal secretary, TK Pandey, said that the Provident Fund Regulatory and Development Authority(PFRDA) has honoured Odisha with the “Best State Under Subscriber Record Maintenance” award. According to him the state has been adjudged second best so as maintenance of records of state-owned public sector undertakings (SPSUs) employees covered under NPS.
A total of 1.15 lakh government employees besides the employees of 18 SPSUs have been covered under the NPS since the NPS scheme was lunched on January 1, 2005.
The state treasury director, Basanta Kumar Behera, said that the the state is going to link a new NPS web page with the IFMS Odisha portal so that the employees would be able to access to the informations regarding their fund status. The web page also has facility to receive grievances from the employees, he said. (EOM)
