Bhubaneswar: With a view to distribute the Hi-Tech Group’s Rs 66.55 crore among the duped investors, the Economic Offences Wing of the state crime branch police Saturday moved the state finance department for attachment of the amount.
The amount has been deposited by the Hi-Tech Group in lieu of bail of its top functionaries Tirupati Panigrahi, Tirupati Choudhury and Madhusudan Panigrahi. They were arrested in connection with a massive land fraud case. The EOW has registered cases against them on the basis of complaints received from the investors. The apex court on July 25 had asked the state government to attach the amount and distribute the same among the victim investors.
In compliance with the court’s directive , the EOW has moved the government for issuing ad-interim attachment order in respect of the amount .
