Mumbai: The Odisha Tourism has planned to participate in Global Travel Mart to be held in London, Singapore and Berlin and organise Road Shows in all the major cities of the country to woo tourists, said state tourism and culture minister Ashok Chandra Panda.
Panda, while addressing a Road Show organised here on Wednesday, said that number of foreign tourist footfalls to the state has grown substantially as a result of promotional initiatives . According to him the Odisha Tourism will take all possible measures to attract more tourists as well as to develop tourism infrastructure in the state.
The Road Show organised in collaboration with FICCI attracted a large number of viewers who later on took part in question answer session. Dr Nitin B. Jawale, Odisha tourism director made a power point presentation highlighting Odisha’s tourism potential along with government’s interventions for infrastructural development in tourism sector.
The president of EEMA dna, Sabbas Joseph, CMD Kamat Hotles, Dr. Vithal V. Kamat, India Gold Tourism Association president C Rajan Sehgal, and additional director and head of Ficci’s tourism division, Manish Ahuja, also spoke on the occasion. Ficci’s Maharastra council head, Deepak Mukhi, moderated the Road Show.
