Bhubaneswar: The Odisha chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, Sunday asserted that his BJD party would win the 2019 elections.
” I do not want to take any number. But, I am sure we will have a majority”, he said in a conversation with the editorial director of The New Indian Express, Prabhu Chawla, here at the Odisha Literary Festival-2017.
“I am not going to quote statistics”, he clarified when his attention was drawn to the BJP’s slogan Mission 120+. “Our development works, welfare programes will give us adequate seats”, he added.
On the issue of alliance with Congress, the BJD supremo clarified that his party would maintain equidistance from both BJP and Congress.
“ We will not have any direct or indirect alliance with anybody,” he asserted.
