Bhubaneswar: Accomplished film actor and chairman of Indian Film & Television Institute of India (FTII) Anupam Kher will grace the 3Rd Kalinga International Film Festival 2017 commencing from Friday.
Organized by School of Film & Media Sciences and KIIT Film Society is collaboration with the Federation of Film Society of India (FFSI), the three-day festival will screen about 14 films from various countries. Two foreign films Chole(France) and Jackpot(Vietnam) besides Indian films like Bakul, Ranchi Diaries, Oneo Opala, A World within Four Walls, Upahar, Roadside Scientist, Ardhanariswara, The Machine, Tom Kite, Pounaponik, Statement After My Poet Husaband’s Death, Call Girl, Bohurupi and Alone will be screened in the festival.
The screening of the film would be in the convention hall in KIIT Campus-6 and auditorium in KIIT Campus-7.
The inaugural ceremony on Friday evening would also be graced by union director of culture Ganga Kumar, and KIIT founder Achyut Samanta. The event will be followed by an interaction of Anupam Kher and the team of Ranchi Diaries with the students and the audience.
