New Delhi: Odisha has scored well in implementation of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sichayee Yojana(Pmksy) projects in the state. Out of the eight projects, the state has completed two projects and three will be completed this fiscal while the remaining three will be completed in the next financial year.

In Andhra Pradesh, however, out of eight Pmksy projects one has been completed, six will be completed this fiscal while one will completed next year. In Karnataka, out of five AIBP projects one has been completed and remaining four will be completed next year.

This has been revealed at a high level review meeting chaired by union water resources minister Nitin Gadkari, here on Wednesday. The minister was reviewing the progress of Pmksy and AIBP projects in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Expressing satisfaction over the progress of various PMKSY projects in these states Gadkari asked the officials to implement the pending projects as per the time line without any delay.

On completion of all these projects irrigation potential of 1.25 lakh hectares will be created in Odisha, 2.28 lakh hectares in in Andhra Pradesh, and 2.30 lakh hectares in Karnataka. Senior officials of the Union Water Resources Minister and the three states attended the meeting.
