Bijepur (Odisha): The Odisha police Tuesday said it raided the residence of state labour minister Susant Singh suspecting hoarding of cash for the Bijepur assembly by-election, scheduled to be held on February 24. The Bargarh SP, JN Pankaj, said that the police serarched the Singh’s house in Bausenmura village under the Sohela police station in Bargarh district.
The Bargarh DSP, NP Nayak, who conducted the raid, said that no cash was found from the residence of the minister.
The Bargarh police, following sizer of Rs 40 lakh from two businessmen, had searched the house of BJP Yuva Morcha president, Pritesh Bohidar suspecting that he has kept cash in his house but did not find anything.
