Mumbai: Is the Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan taking interest in Congress politics in the country?
That is what it appears as the mega star is, of late, following some senior Congress leaders on Twitter.
With the beginning of Feburary, Bachchan has started following Congress president Rahul Gandhi, and senior leaders like P Chidambaram, Kapil Sibal, Ahmed Patel, Ashok Gehlot, Ajay Maken, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Sachin Pilot and CP Joshi, besides the Congress party’s official Twitter handle. The micro-blogging sites of Manish Tewari, Shakeel Ahmed, Sanjay Nirupam, Randeep Surjewala, Priyanka Chaturvedi and Sanjay Jha are also in his interest list.
Bachchan, who has over 33.1 million followers on Twitter and follows only 1,689 people, is a close friend of Rajiv Gandhi and a family friend of Nehru-Gandhi family for long.
Bachchan is also following RJD chief Lalu Prasad, JD(U)’s Nitish Kumar, CPI-M’s Sitaram Yechury, NC’s Omar Abdullah, AAP leader Manish Sisodia, and NCP’s Supriya Sule.
The superstar, who is currently the brand ambassador of Gujarat government, also follows a number of BJP leaders like Nitin Gadkari and Suresh Prabhu.
