The state-owned Odisha Hydro Power Corporation (OHPC) Tuesday paid Rs 27.26 crore to the state government towards the dividend for the year 2016-17. The Corporation posted a net profit of Rs90.87 crore during the year.
The state energy minister, Sushant Singh, energy secretary Hemanta Sharma presented the dividend cheque to chief minister Naveen Patnaik in the presence of OHPC CMD Vishal Dev and director finance Pravakar Mohanty .
OHPC, which has six power generating stations with 31 units meet 40% of peak hour demand and 20% of normal demand of the state. OHPC is carrying out RM & U of three of its power houses with a capital outlay of Rs 600 crore.
