Rourkela: Seven executives of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) were presented with the Star Performer Award for the second Quarter of Financial Year 2018-19., here on Thursday. The RSP CEO Ashwini Kumar handed over the the awards to the winners.
The award winners are Banshidhar Behera, Deputy Manager, Coal Chemicals(Operation), Valerian Ekka, Deputy Manager, Sintering Plant-I, Jayant Kumar Mohapatra, Assistant Manager, SMS-I (Mechanical), Tapan Kumar Parida, Deputy Manager, Pipe Plant (Operation), Kumuda Ranjan Mishra, Deputy Manager, Shops (Mechanical), Ravi Teja Samudrala, Assistant Manager, Heavy Maintenance (Electrical) and Bikrama Kumar Padhy, Deputy Manager, Safety Engineering Department.
Executive director(projects) Rajiv Agarwal, executive director (P & A) Raj Vir Singh, executive director(Works), Gautam Banerjee, and executive director(MM) D K Mohapatra were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashwini Kumar said, “The line managers and the frontline executives play a pivotal role in the growth of the Plant.” ” It’s because of their initiatives and attitude that RSP is doing well,” he added.
The function was co-ordinated by DGM, Personnel (OD) R K Verma and his team. Assistant Manager (Personnel) Lopamudra Mishra, was the anchor of the function.
It is worth mentioning here that the ‘Star Performer of the Quarter’ Award was introduced in October’2016 to recognize the executives in E1 to E5 level for exceptional contribution in their area of work on a Quarterly basis. Sofar 63 executives have won this prestigious award.
