Bhubaneswar: Chairpersons of State Public Service Commissions (SPSCs) shared their best practices in conducting recruitment examinations at the 21st National Conference of Chairpersons of State Public Services Commission (SPSC), here on Monday.
The two-day Conference was inaugurated by the governor Ganeshi Lal and was presided over by the Union Public Service Commission chairman Arvind Saxena.
Saxena said that PSCs have always a leading role to play with respect to holding of recruitment without discrimination of caste, gender, religion, fear, favour. He stressed upon that all the chairpersons of SPSCs participated from 28 States of our country will take advantage from it sharing their opinion and views from their vast experience they gained.
Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani, chairman,Telengana State Public Service Commission and chairman of Standing Committee of this National level Conference briefed about how the technology has made transparency to deal with the service and administrative matter of PSCs. Brig. L.C Patnaik(Retd.), chairman of Odisha PSC in his welcome address spoke how the conduct of this national conference of repute will benefit each other in understanding the good practices being followed in other states so as to assist each other in ensuring necessary reforms in the field of recruitments and other responsibilities of respective SPSCs. Member of Odisha PSC Jagannath Mohanty offered vote of thanks on the eve of this inaugural session. Detail agenda wise discussions were held in Business session-I and Business session-II with respect to responsiblities of PSCs in areas of promotion, disciplinary proceedings and framing recruitment rules.
