Mumbai: Bollywood super star Amitabh Bachchan would fight for women facing discrimination in the society for carrying hepatitis B virus.

“To be discriminated like this just because they are carrying hepatitis B virus is not acceptable. I will fight for this as long as I am alive,” said Bachchan, who is World Health Organisation’s (WHO) Goodwill Ambassador for Hepatitis in South East Asia Region.

The mega star while speaking at the launch of National Action Plan on combating viral hepatitis in India, said : “Discrimination against women has been most disturbing for me. This shouldn’t happen.
