Bhubaneswar: A large number of engineering students from the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), faculty of engineering and technology of the SOA Deemed to be University here, are getting picked by day-zero companies.

Considerable talent hiring in the campus was witnessed between July 15 and August 5 by companies including Informatica, Mu-Sigma, Tek Systems, Rober Bosch, Capgemini (digital profile), Nine Leaps and Gyansys.

These companies have extended career opportunities in product development profile for bright students of the 2020 graduating batch. The self learning attitude seems to be the key to earn a placement opportunity in the present digitalized market environment.

“There exists a positive indication in terms of 50 per cent growth in hiring numbers by the first week of August in comparison to the previous years,” said Sujit Kumar Dash, Head, Training and Placement, ITER.

“Additionally, we expect an excellent outcome taking into account the upcoming campus drives  to be conducted by companies of hight repute by end of this month,” he said.

Dash said that ITER students were receiving high appreciation by the companies with regard to their test performance and overall aspect reflecting their competence and skill.
