Bhubaneswar: The State government has dismissed 15 officers and suspended 2 showing its commitment towards zero tolerance towards corruption. The officers were prosecuted successfully by the vigilance department in corruption cases.
The officers dismissed are IMV in transport department Debi Prsad Padhi Dungripalli cooperative society ex-secretary Debadutta Dash, Umarkot Octri sarkar Kali Prasad Singh, Dhamnagar tehsil junior clerck Bata Krushna Barik, M.Rampur ex-VLW Krushna Mohan Das, Kesinga block ex-secretary Ashok Kumar Saha, Junagarh block ex-panchyat executive officer Padmamukaha Sabar, Mursundi gram panchayat ex-secretary Kishore Chandra Pradhan, Banapur Salia irrigation project ex- assistant engineer Bijay Kumar Sahu, Bhawanipatna Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) ex- JE Karunakar Panda, water resources ex-JE Mangal Singh Munda, ex-assistant engineer of Kuliana block Baidyanath Majhi, ex-JE of Sarakana block, Pratap Chandra Rout, ex- JE of Thuamul-Rampur ITDA, Nigamananda Panda, senior clerk of BMC health officer’s office, Chittaranjan Lal.
Besides, the government has stopped the pension remittance to the retired assistant engineer of Kalahandi ITDA, Aswini Kumar Sharma and retired APD of Kalahandi DRDA, Sashank Sekhar Patnaik over conviction on corruption charges.
The chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, has launched a campaign of zero tolerance toward corruption.
