Bhubaneswar: Odisha agriculture, fisheries and animal husbandry minister Arun Sahu Tuesday directed that the Rs 244.24 crore automatic Milk Processing Plant of Omfed at Arilo-Gobindpur in Cuttack district be completed in time.
Sahu visited the plant site and reviewed the progress of the construction works.
The Plant construction, which was started in November 2018, is scheduled to be completed within 33 months. The National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) has been entrusted to set up the plant on turn-key basis.
The Plant will produce 2 lakh liter packeted milk besides 30,000 liters of curd, 10,000 liters butter milk, 5,000 liters of Lassi, 5,000 liters scented milk, 3 tonnes of butter, 8 tonne Ghee, 3 tonne Paneer and 20,000 tonne milk powder.
NDDB chairman Dilip Rath, Fisheries & Animal Husbandry secretary R. Raghu Prasad, and Omfed general manager JS Gandhi accompanied the minister to the site.
