Bhubaneswar: Cultural programmes like Odissi dance, light vocal music marked the celebration of 64th Anniversary of Odisha’s one of the oldest premier cultural organisation Lalit Kala Pitha,here on Wednesday.
The Odisha Legislative Assembly speaker, Surya Narayan Patro and State commerce and transport minister Padmanabha Behera graced the occasion. Music maestro Prafulla Kar and eminent film director Raju Mishra were conferred with Lalit Kala Pith Awards. Dentist Dr. Sudip Podar, industrialists Anil Mohanty, Harmohan Mohanty, Prakash Chandra Rout, Kalinga Samaj editor Umakanta Mohanty, emerging singer Payal Parida, Odissi Nritya Guru GVS Rao and social activist Kuri Bhuyan were also honoured with Kala Pith Award. Winners and participants of a painting competition were presented with trophies on this occasion.
Lalit Kala Pith president Sailendra Patnaik, vice president Dilip Kumar Bisoi and secretary Chitta Ranjan Patnaik addressed the Anniversary function.
