Bhubaneswar: Odisha government is coming up with its first ever Odisha Culture and Heritage Policy 2019 soon.

The State culture secretary, Manoranjan Panigrahi, said that the Odisha government is soon going to declare a Cultural & Heritage Policy for the State. According to him, the Policy would aimed at preservation of rich culture and heritage of the State with a view to spread it in the world. The Policy would define the vision, aims and objectives of the culture and heritage besides promoting study and research on art, culture, music, language and tourism. Welfare schemes for artists, promotion of traditional folk arts and establishment of Regional Cultural Centres and libraries would be incorporated in the Policy, he added.
