Bhubaneswar: Renowned tabla player Rimpa Shiva of Kolkata stole the show on the second evening of the 14th Guru Dakshina Ustav, here on Tuesday.
The evening opened with mesmerizing performance by Rimpa Shiva . He created magic with his fingers on tabla. The percussion session was followed by Odissi dance by Leena Mohanty and Neha from Bangaluru. The duo kept the audience spellbound with their performance. Artists of Bhubaneswar-based Nupur organisation presented Odissi dance and Sambalpuri folk dance.
The second evening of the four day Ustav was inaugurated by union minister for MSME Pratap Sarangi. Guru Ramahari Das, Guru Dhaneswari Swain, former chief secretary Ashok Tripathy, former CMD Nalco SK Tamotia, scholar Chitta Ranjan Mallia, Kalashram secretary Nityananda Das, Guru Gajendra Panda, and Guru Bijaya Das graced the occasion. Kalashram adiviser Manoj Das and Mrutunjaya Rath compared the programme.
