Bhubaneswar: The State government is going to improve the infrastructures for Infovalley, Electronic Manufacturing Centre (EMC) and Deras Sea Food Park in the outskirt of the city.

The Odisha industries minister, Dibya Shankar Mishra, Wednesday visited the three industrial estates and stressed for infrastructure development. He suggested for making provision of a helipad at EMC.

“This will make EMC more attractive investment destination,” he said. According to him it will help in reducing the travel time for senior executive of the units that will operate from EMC and Info-valley.

The minister directed that all the internal roads in the industrial estates be completed immediately. He also suggested that all the buildings in future must have basement parking facilities with a view to optimal land use.

Mishra said that a police statioin and a fire station will come up in the Infovalley. He said steps would be taken to make the approach road from NH-16 to Infovalley more attractive. The government is also considering the request of Infosys for construction of an underpass or flyover at the NH junction. The minister urged the local Sarpanch to complete the Palli Sabha for the developmental works.

Mishra directed the Idco to complete the approach road to Deras Sea Food Park. He advised Idco to prepare a new promotional video highlighting the facilities at the Sea Food Park.

The minister visited the production facilities of Shanti Solar in the EMC and B-One Business House in Deras Sea Food Park.
