Bhubaneswar: The Odisha minister for tourism Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi Friday inaugurated the Food Festival, organised by the Odisha Tourism in association of Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) and Hotels & Restaurants Association of Odisha(HRAO), marking the World Tourism Day , here on Friday. As many as 27 leading hoteliers and restaurant owners have participated in the Food Festival which will come a close on October 13, 2019.
Earlier, in the morning the Odisha Tourism along with stakeholders of the State Tourism fraternity organised a massive Tourism Walk in the city. the minister flagged off the Tourism Walk in the presence of Odisha Tourism Development Corproation (OTDC) chairperson Shreemayee Mishra, tourism secretary Vishal Kumar Dev and tourism director Nirmal Mishra.
Representatives from HRAO, IHM, Travel Agents Association of Odisha (TAAO), Odisha Tour Operators Association (OTOA), Indian Assocation of Tour Operators (IATO -Odisha Chapter), Indian Institute of Tourism & Travel Management (IITTM), Skating Associations, Tourism and Hospitality Management Institute participated in the Walk.
The World Tourism Day gets a colourful feather when the tourists at Biju Patnaik International Airport were greeted as guests of Odisha. Minister Panigrahi along with other dignitaries welcomed the tourists with rose buds in the morning.
