Bhubaneswar: The Odisha chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, Monday directed the school & mass education department to make one among the top three States in quality school education index of NITI Aayog.

Odisha has risen to 7th position in the NITI Aayog’s School Education Quality Index 2016-17 among the States in the country. The State’s position was 13 in the base year 2015-16. It was jump by 6 positions by Odisha in the index.

The chief secretary, Asit Tripathy, and school & mass education secretary Chitra Arugham Monday appraised the chief minister about the State’s achievement in the NITI Aayog’s Index.

Patnaik while appreciating the achievement made by the school & mass education department asked the officials to keep the good work going on and make endeavor to make Odisha one of the top three Stated in the country.
