Bhubaneswar: Senior IAS officer Sushil Kumar Lohani Friday assumed the office of the Chief Electoral Officer(CEO) of Odisha. He took over the charge from Surender Kumar.
Lohani appraised himself about the ongoing process of the Bijepur by-elections from the outgoing CEO Surendra Kumar.
Soon after assuming charge Lohani had a meeting with the officials of the CEO regarding the Bijepur assembly by-elections which is going to be held on October 21. Additional chief electoral officer Abhaya Kumar Nayak and Hari Ballabha Mishra, joint chief electoral officers Satrughana Kar and Bhawani Prasad Ray, and deputy chief electoral officers Nitiranjan Sen were present.
