Bhubaneswar: The Naveen Patnaik government in Odisha Thursday send packing one DFO level officer and two executive engineers.
Sudhanshu Sekhar Mishra, an Odisha Forest Service officer, was given compulsory retirement on charges of corruption. When Mishra was Angul DFO in 2016, his house was raided by the State vigilance police. The raid unearthed disproportionate assets worth Rs 5.68 crore including Rs 1 crore in cash and Rs 3.46 crore as bank deposits.
Mishra was placed under suspension on Feb 25, 2016 following his arrest in the DA case.
Similarly, the government has given compulsory retirement to Prana Krushna Prasad, executive engineer at Angul Rural Works Quality Control Division and Umesh Chandra Tripathy, deputy executive engineer presently working in Tusra (R&B) sub-division-1 Sonepur under Works Department as they were found to be involved in corrupt practices.
Prana Krushna had been caught red handed while taking bribe in 2015 and 2018 by the vigilance police.
