Bhubaneswar: Naveen Patnaik’s flagship programme Mo Sarkar showed it whip for the first time on Sunday.
The State government has served show cause notice to the Sundergarh district collector and placed under suspension the chief district medical officer.
The district collector Nikhil Pawan Kalyan was served with a show casue notice and the CDMO Pankaj Patel has been suspended for negligence in duty.
The 5Ts secretary VK Pandian was on tour to Sundergarh district on Sunday as part of his district visit to take stock of the ground realities in implementation of the Mo Sarkar yojana. His visit to the district headquarter hospital in Sundergarh town found that there was dereliction of duty by the CDMO and the supervisor responsibility on the part of the district collector .
On his recommendation, the State government has initiated action against the two top officials of the district.
