Bhubaneswar: The Odisha tourism department and the FICCI organised an interactive session with foreign tour operators (FTOs) as part of the week long activities of 3rd edition of Odisha Travel Baazar (OTB), here on Wednesday.
The tourism minsiter,Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi, graced the session as chief guest and extended warm welcome to the FTOs. Tourism director Sachin Jadhav gave detailed presentation on Odisha tourism highlighting the key tourism products, beaches, heritage, handicrafts and sports tourism .
The additional principal conservator of forest, Sashi Paul, gave presentation on huge potential of Eco Tourism of Odisha.
The co-chairman of FICCI National Tourism Committee, JK Mohanty, chairman of FICCI Eastern and executive director of Mayfair Hotels & Resorts Ltd, Soubhagya Mohapatra and OTDC managing director Hemakanta Sai also spoke on the tourism potential of the State.
The Odisha Travel Bazaar, which will be concluded on October 20, will have about 2400 pre-scheduled B2B meetings between the buyers and sellers at sellers’ booths in three days of OTB 2019. Apart from this, exclusive Familiarization (FAM) Trips will be organized for the participating FTOs, top of the line Inbound Tour Operators and leading Domestic Tour Operators.
