Bhubaneswar: The Airport Authority of India (AAI) is going to fund Rs 11.48 crore for health infra in Odisha.

The Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA), Bhubaneswar, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with government Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar, for construction of two modula operation theatres( OTs) and one general OT at Capital Hospital at a cost of Rs 4.74 crore.
Similarly another MoA was signed between (BPIA), Bhubaneswar, and chief district medical officer (CDMO), Cuttack, for funding of Rs 6.74 crore for construction of maternity ward with modern equipments and expansion of existing building of Niali community health centre (CHC).

The Airport Authority of India will finance these projects out of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund.


The MoA was signed in the presence of Odisha health secretary Promod Kumar Meherda.
AAI, Bhubaneswar director Suresh chandra Hota and health special secretary Dr Haraprasad Pattanaik signed the MoAs. Among others CDMO Cuttack, and Director Capital Hospital were present.
