Bhubaneswar: The Odisha chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, has provided Rs 10 lakh financial assistance to each of the 30 districts in the State for the development and welfare of inmates of the children orphanages. He has announced additional Rs 10 lakh each to districts like Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Sundergarh, Ganjam and Sambalpur taking into consideration the additional requirement of these district.
The fund would be channelised through the Red Cross Society of the concerned districts.
The chief minister’s announcement has come after the receipt of the feed back from the children welfare centres located in various districts.
Patnaik himself celebrated the Dipawali with the orphanage children of SoS village in Bhubaneswar. On his advise the ministers and senior bureaucrats had visited the children orphanages, children welfare centres and schools in the State.
