Mumbai: Renowned filmmakers of Bollywood like, Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee and Anurag Kashyap come together for a Netflix original that it titled “Ghost Stories”. The release date of the film is January 1, 2020.
The film stars Avinash Tewari, Gulshan Devaiah, Janhvi Kapoor, Kusha Kapila, Mrunal Thakur, Sobhita Dhulipala, Surekha Sikri, Sukant Goel, and Vijay Verma in pivotal roles. The makers are promoting this show as the digital debut of Janhvi Kapoor.
Just like “Lust Stories”, “Ghost Stories” is an Indian anthology film consisting of four short films. It is the third collaboration, after “Love Per Square Foot” and “Lust Stories” for Netflix.
Netflix India in the last year upped its content game in India and we have seen some high ticket releases that include season 2 of ‘Sacred Games’, ‘Bard of Blood’ and ‘Drive’ that was produced by Dharma Productions. However, none of these managed to win us over. ‘Drive’ among these was the biggest disappointment.
