Bhubaneswar: A big relief to the commuters, the Odisha government extended the deadline for enforcement of new traffic rules by another 3 months in view of huge rush at Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) across the state for driving licenses on Thursday.
Transport minister Padmanabha Behera, announced it in the state Assembly following approval of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today.
Following public commotion over the imposing of heavy fines, the state government had relaxed implementation of the new traffic rules for another three months which was supposed to end on November 30.
