Konark: Curtains came down on the five day Konark Festival, one of the mega events of classical dances in India, here on Thursday. Puri Gajapati Maharaj Dibya Singh Deve inaugurated the closing ceremony with lighting of lamp before Lord Jaganath. Chief minister’s chief adviser R.Balakrishnan, tourism secretary Vishal Dev, culture secretary Manoranjan Panigrahi and GKCM Odissi Research Centre chief executive Sangita Gosain graced the occasion.
Vaibhav Arekar & Group opened the evening with Bharatnatyam.
The Guru Kelu Charan Mohapatra Odissi Research Centre artistes presented Odissi closing the five day Festival.
