Bhubaneswar: Dhakkad girl Babita Phogat will grace the IMPaCT’s 27th Ekalabya Award giving ceremony, here on Friday. Phogat, the female wrestler from India who won gold medal in 2014 Common Wealth Games will be the chief guest of the occasion.

First women cyclist and first Arjuna Awardee of Odisha Minati Mohapatra will be the guest of honor of the occasion.

The winner of this year’s Ekalabya Puraskar is world class weight lifter Jhilli Behera. Woman footballer Jabamani Tudu and women hockey player Namita Toppo are citation recipients.

Ekalabya Award has been Instituted by Indian Metal Public Charitable Trust (IMPaCT), a charitable arm of IMFA.
