Bhubaneswar: The minister for ST & SC development, minorities & backward classes welfare, Jagannath Saraka inaugurated Sargiful, 2019, here on Thursday.

The threeday State level festival of tribal and scheduled caste students reading in ST & SC development department schools was graced by advisor special development council Sujit Kumar, advisor, minorities affairs Munna Khan, principal secretary Ranjana Chopra, director (ST) Sachin Ramchandra Yadav and director, SCSTRTI Prof. Dr. A. B. Ota.

This year, Sargiful is celebrating its 10th anniversary.

This year 867 students and 138 teachers have participated. The students would exhibit their talents creative dance, wall-painting, photography, magic, Odissi dance, creative writing, best of wastes, science games, math games, lamp shade, straw craft, paper mache, puppetry, screen painting & fabric printing, poster development, child reporter, tribal painting, terracotta jewellery, instrumental music, theatre, self defence. Felicitation ceremony for the best performing students & high schools will be held during the Festival. 101 Students and 50 High Schools based on the performance of Annual HSC Exam, 2019 were felicitated. All sorts of arrangements like food, lodging, transport and entertainment have been made by the ST & SC Dev. Department for successful organization of the event.
