Bhubaneswar: Reforms in higher education will continue, asserted the Odisha higher education minister Arun Sahoo.
Addressing the annual function of Kamala Nehru Women’s College, here on Friday, said minister said lot of presser is coming to derail the reform process. But there would be no deviation from the reform measures already taken, he asserted.
Sahoo said some of the teachers are grumbling against the government decision for 7 hours working hour for college lecturers. Some of the students are unhappy over attendance compliance, he pointed out.
The minister urged the students to go for holistic knowledge instead of study for degrees only.
Bhubaneswar Middle MLA Ananta Narayan Jena and Pourasha editor Asit Mohanty graced the occasion as guest of honour and chief speaker. Principal Srikanta Mishra presided over the meeting and Odia lecturer Jyoshna Rout anchored the programme.
