Bhubaneswar: The Odisha chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, felicitated the Hausala 2019 national champion team at a function in Kalinga Stadium, here on Friday. Patnaik felicitate the children of Child Care Institutions who brought glory for the State at the national level.
The children won total 30 medals which includes 14 gold, 12 silver and 4 bronze at Hausala 2019 National Competition, held at Delhi in December, last year.
The chief minister handed over a cheque of Rs 1.50 lakh to Ranjita Patra who bagged maximum number of medals for the State. He also gave away cash prizes to Nandita Nayak( Rs 1.20 lakh), Archita Gupta( Rs 95,000), Prasad Gomango (Rs 85,000) and Biram Hembramb (Rs75,000) for their outstanding performances at the Hausala 2019.
State women and child development minister Tukuni Sahoo, principal secretary Anu Garg were present.
