Bhubaneswar: SCB Medical College & Hospital, the premier medical institution of the State is going to be upgraded to a global standard health centre.
The Odisha chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, who is scheduled to visit the medical college on Thursday is expected to announce a Rs 1500 crore package for the upgradation and renovation of the health centre.
The 5T secretary, VK Pandian, visited the SCB Medical College on Wednesday morning along with the works secretary Krishna Kumar, water resources principal secretary Kumar, housing and urban development secretary G Mathivathan and discussed about the project. The Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC) Anil Samal, Cuttack district collector Bhabani Chaiyani and SCB medical college superintend were present.
