Mumbai: Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has come under severe criticism for donating to Shahid Afridi’s Foundation to fight Coronavirus.
Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has been severely trolled after he decided to contribute to the Shahid Afridi’s Foundation to battle against Covid-19. The 38-year-old’s decision to make a contribution came after Harbhajan Singh had asked his fans to make donations to former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi’s foundation. Harbhajan also tagged Yuvraj Singh, Wasim Akram and Shoaib Akhtar and asked them to aware people.
In his post, Yuvraj Singh jotted that in the midst of such testing times, people should be helping each other, mainly the ones who are less fortunate. In his tweet, Yuvraj even tagged Harbhajan Singh after the spinner had done the same earlier.
Not long ago, Harbhajan Singh took to his official twitter handle and extolled Shahid Afridi for his efforts to help people during hard times. The former Pakistan skipper earned praise after he was seen donating edible and sanitizers.
In response to this, Shahid Afridi also thanked Harbhajan Singh and stated that, ‘humanity is bigger than anything else and the world needs to come together and hold collective responsibility to help the poor and needy during the crisis.’
