Bhubaneswar: Odisha MSME minister Dibya Sankar Mishra has urged the Central government to give a special package for MSME sector in the State.
Stating that the MSME sector in Odisha has derailed due to the Covid-19 lockdown, Mishra talked to union minister for heavy industries Arjun Ram Meghwal, MoS for steel Fagan Singh Kulaste, minister for coal Piyus Goyal, minister for chemical & fertiliser Sadananda Gaud, and MoS for MSME Pratap Chandra Sarangi over phone with regard to the special package which according to him would bring back the sector on the rail.
MSME Sector in the State has major role in providing employment to
large chunk of skilled and semi-skilled group of labourers and substantially
contribute to state economy. Earlier too he had made similar kind of appeal to centre for provisioning special revival package for MSME Sector in the State.
The Odisha minister said that there is hope that the Centre would announce a package for the MSME sector soon.
