Bhubaneswar: As many as 12 crack teams of CBI Wednesday raided the Punjab National Bank (PNB) in the city and the office and houses of a company in connection with a Rs 32 crore bank fraud case.
CBI sources told India Whispers that the raids were conducted on a complaint by the PNB circle head Ganpath Lal about the Rs 32 crore fraud committed in station square branch by one Global Trading Solution (GTS) company.
The CBI teams searched 10 places in the city including the offices and residences of the directors of the GTS company and the bank officials involved in the case. The FBI team also raided the company offices in Kolkata, Visakhapatnam, Baroda, and Jammu simultaneously.
Resideces of GTS MD Abinash Mohanty, director Bidhubhusan Natal, two former directors Kausik Mohanty and Ansuman Samantray, PNB chief general manager Nagamani Satyanarayan Praksh, general manager CS Sharma, chief manager Manoranjan Das and senior manager Priyotosh Das were raided.
