New Delhi: After detection of Covid-19 positive cases, the Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) has taken measures to keep the corporate head office safe from the pandemic..
” SAIL is dealing with the challenges posed by the spread of corona pandemic head on. The Corporate office premise here at Lodi Road has been operating, while strictly following the government guidelines issued”, said a company spokes person.
According to the spokes person, SAIL has tied up with two reputed hospitals of Delhi namely Max Healthcare and Apollo Hospitals to manage Covid-19 positive cases and health of other employees.
COVID Response Team (CRT) having adequate representation from the Company doctors has been constituted to reach out to all employees including COVID positive cases to address their medical and other needs. The SAIL CRT is working on 24×7 basis to address the medical concerns of the employees and their families.
Comprehensive sanitization and disinfection drive has been undertaken in the office building and at the residential towers at Kaushambi. Sensor based contactless sanitization machines have been installed at office building and the residential tower.
Roster based flexible work schedules have been implemented for employees attending office. The vulnerable group of employees such as pregnant women, employees with underlying health conditions, comorbidities, divyangjan, etc. have been allowed to Work From Home.
Realignment of sitting locations has been explored to provide safe distance among the employees. So as to de-congest the Corporate Office at Ispat Bhawan, a number of employees have been relocated to the other office at Scope Minar, Laxmi Nagar.
Apart from these, said the spokes person that the following is being done on a sustained manner since opening of the office after lockdown. It included following norms of social distancing, making sanitizers plentily available at all places in the office, ensuring thermal checking at entry point, installation of foot – operated sanitizer near entry door of the office building among others. The biometric attendance has been suspended ever since the outbreak.
