Bhubaneswar: Odisha Pradesh Congress president Niranjan Patnaik has been fined Rs 500 for violation of Covid-19 guidelines.
Patnaik demonstrating in Master Canteen square of the city eading leading a 13-party demonstration organised here on Friday.
The Congress, CPU, CPM, Aam Admi Party, Samajwadi Party and other opposition parties demonstrated protesting against mismanagement of Covid-19 pandemic and corruption in health care by the Central government and the State government.
The Rs500 fine challan has been issued in the name of Niranjan Patnaik for violating the guidelines of social distance and wearing of mask.
The police have also issed challans of Rs 500 each in the name of Congress MP Saptagiri Ulaka, CPIM Ali Kishore Patnaik and APP’s Nishikanta Mohapatra.
