Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is going to prepare the Odisha based ports for export of fish.

The new MSME principal secretary, Satyagrata Sahu has directed the Export Promotion & Marketing directorate to convene a meeting with Paradip Port Authority and other stake holders for the purpose in the second week of July 2020.

On being told that the State is depending on Visakhapatnam Port for fish export as there is no facilities in Odisha based ports in the State for such exports, the principal secretary said efforts would be made to export fish from Odisha ports. He said this would encourage the fish farmers and merchants to export their produce and they would save time as well as money.

Sahu has also directed the directorate to convene a meeting with APEDA and other stake holders for export of agriculture produces through Paradip Port.
