Ahmedabad: Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) has posted a net profit of Rs758 core during April-June quarter of FY 21 despite the Covid-29 pandemic lockdown during the period. The net was Rs 1029 crore during the corresponding period last fiscal.

APSEZ , the largest integrated logistics player in India, a part of globally diversified Adani Group Tuesday announced its operational and financial performance for the first quarter ended 30th June, 2020.

The APSEZ has reported EBITDA of Rs 1438 crore from a revenue of Rs 2293 crore during the Q1 period of FY 21.

“Lockdown measures to tame the spread of COVID-19 resulted in lower Import and export, impacting cargo throughput in the first quarter of FY21”, said APSEZ.

“There has been a steady increase in cargo throughput across Ports from July 2020. During the month of July 2020, APSEZ handled cargo volume of 18.30 million tonnes, a growth of 6% on a year on year basis and 31% over June 2020,” reported APSEZ adding, “This trend gives us confidence that the worst is behind us and going forward cargo volume in FY21 is expected to stabilize.”
