Bhubaneswar: Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik dedicated three power projects in Kalahandi district.

Patnaik inaugurated a 220/132/33 KV Grid Sub-Station and dedicated two 33KV feeder lines at Banner near Jaypatna of the district.

Speaking on the occasion, Patnaik said over 30,000 people in Jaypatna, Koksara and Kalampur of the district.

The Grid Sub-station has been set up with an investment of Rs82 crore. With the commissioning of the Grid Sub-station, Kalahandi people now get power directly from Indravati Hydel Station located in the district. A 47-km long 132 double circuit line would be laid to connect Junagarh in coming days.

Energy minister Dibya Shankar Mishra, Leader of the Opposition and BJP leader Pradipta Nayak, Narla MLA Bhupinder Singh development commissioner Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, OPTCL chairman Sourav Garg, energy secretary Nikunja Bihari Dhal, secretary to chief minister (5T) VK Pandian and Kalahandi collector Dr. Gavali Parag Harshad were present.
