Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Monday transferred the Malkangiri collector and district magistrate Manish Agrawal following court direction to police file order case against him.
Agarwal has been posted as deputy secretary to government planning and convergence department in place of deputy secretary, planning and convergence, and chief executive OREDA Y Vijay who has been posted as the collector and district magistrate Malkangiri.
Agarwal has been implicated in the death case of his personal assistant whose body was fished from the Satiguda reservoir in the district. Four other office staff of the collectorate have also been booked in the case.
