New Delhi: The Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. announced that it would have 50 million tonne per annum (mtpa) steel making capacity by 2030.

Giving a presentation before the union steel minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the JSPL chairman Naveen Jindal said that the company working on a long term plan to ramp up the capacity of its Angul state plant in Odisha by four times to reach 50 mtpa capacity by 2030.

The union minister Pradhan said that JSPL’s plan will help the nation ‘s ambition to have 300 mtpa steel making capacity. He urged the JSPL team to make endeavour to enhance mining capacity, add value to low grade iron ore and develop cluster to attract investment.
