Rourkela: ‘Inteha’, a classic collection of Hindi Gazals & Geet written by award-winning writer,Ramendra Kumar was released on Wednesday.

The function was organized by ‘Sangeet Tarang’, a leading socio-cultural organization of the Steel City, here at Paradise Mandap .

Ashish Gadnayak, AGM and Branch Head of the ‘Sambad’, Manoranjan Das, Bureau Chief of ‘The Samaj’ and B D Shivhare, Senior Faculty of Art of Living & Independent Director of Balmer & Lawrie, a central PSU graced the function as the guests and released the book containing a collection of 33 beautifully crafted poems. The guests also launched the music album of the collection sung by Madhavi Kumar. The music director of the album is Hara Kumar Ghadai who has lent his voice to the album.

Kumar’s wife Madhavi Kumar presented a song from the album on the occasion.

Earlier, a soulful rendition of ‘Itni Shakti Hame Dena Daata’ by the artists of ‘Sangeet Tarang’ marked the commencement of the inaugural session.


The session was followed by an enchanting presentation of a number of mellifluous songs by the artists of ‘Sangeet Tarang’. The artists of ‘Sangeet Tarang’ included Madhavi Kumar, Basavaduatta, Pinky, Tapan, Itee, Sonali, Guru Hara Ghadai, Santosh, Pradeep, Satya, Satyanjay, Basant, Aswini, Sukhpal Singh, Bikash Patra, Baljit Singh, Dr. Jayant Acharya, Dr. P K Dash, Bibhudatta, Jagannath, Halindar, and many other talented singers. Dr. Acharya presented a mellifluous hindi instrumental song on flute.

Sasanka Pattnaik, vice president of Sangeet Tarang coordinated the inaugural session while Pinky Mohanty compered the musical programme. Santosh Das, secretary, Sangeet Tarang presented a formal vote of thanks at the end.
