Bhubaneswar: Odisha industries minister Dibya Shankar Mishra has called for industry support at Dialogue on CSR: #INDUSTRIES@COVID19, organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) . The session was organized to bring Synergy among Industries to work continuously for the society and for our people during this pandemic.

The session had representations from various Industries and NGO’s like Jindal Steel and Power Ltd., Mahanadi Coal Fields Limited (MCL), Vedanta Ltd, SAIL – Rourkela Steel Plant, JK Paper Mill Limited, Tata Steel Limited, CYSD and SJ Developers and Housing Pvt Ltd. where they showcased the CSR best practices done during the pandemic.

Minister Dibya Shankar Mishra, and Manish Kharbanda , chairman , CII Odisha State Council and Group Advisor(Legal, Corp. Affairs, CSR and Sustainability ) , Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. delivered the opening remarks and the session was moderated by Peasants Hota , convener , CII Odisha CSR & Skills Panel and president & Group Head, CSR & Sustainability , Jindal Steel & Power Ltd, Odisha.

This webinar was attended by participants from Industries, associations institutions, academia, NGO’s and others.

“It is overwhelming that CII has organized this session with CSR heads of Industries to know about their best practices,” said minister Mishra. He urged upon each industry in Odisha to support the State government by any means of support to handle this pandemic. During his speech he stressed upon emotional equity, inclusiveness, spontaneous reaction should be action mode. With this he also encouraged the industries with a line “Together We Can and Together We Will” .
