Bhubaneswar: Tata Coffee has agreed to market Odisha’s Koraput Coffee worldover. The Tata Coffee has taken the marketing responsibility following the initiatives taken by Tribal Development Cooperative Corporation of Odisha Ltd. (TDCCOL)

The Odisha chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, Sunday said the marketing intervention of Tata Coffee will ensure better price for coffee produced by tribals of the State.

In a video interaction with Sulochana Khar, a tribal women coffee grower, Patnaik said, “You have become a role model for other tribal coffee grower by selling over 200kg beans to TDCCOL.

Tribal coffee growers of Kashipur, Laxmipur, Nandpur, Dasamantapur, Lamtaput and Potangi blocks of Koraput district in Odisha have sold a total of 28,790kg coffee to TDCCOL in 2020-21. The Odisha government is targeting to add 80 acres of land under coffee cultivation in 2021-22.
