Bhubaneswar: Back to back Odisha is going to have third election in four months. After the elections to rural local bodies and urban local bodies, the State is going for elections for cooperative societies.

The elections to the cooperative bodies will be held in June, this year.

The State Co-operative Election Commission have recommended to the State government June 19 and June 26 as the dates to hold the first phase of election of the Members of the Committees of the Primary Co-operative Societies in the State.
The State government is going to publish June 19 and June 26 as the dates for the first phase of election of the Members of the Committees of the Primary Co-operative Societies in the State calling upon the Primary Co-operative Societies to elect Members of the Committees of such Societies in accordance with the provisions of the Odisha Co-operative Societies Act, 1962 and the rules made thereunder.
